24 hour nursing care

Nursing care is for people who need a qualified nursing care team available to them 24 hours a day.

Prior to admission each resident has an assessment in their place of residency, i.e Home or Hospital, to establish their care and social needs.  Our approach to nursing care is based on the use of personalized care plans.  Drawn up with the individuals, their families and care staff, our care plans will help ensure that each person we look after is treated with respect and that their independence and choice is maximized.

Meals

Meals are an important part in all our lives.  Our team of highly experienced chefs ensure every home made meal is not only delicious but reflects each individuals likes, dislikes and dietary needs.   Our policy is to make sure that every meal is nutritionally balanced and made from the best and freshest local ingredients.  We provide a choice of main meals and will provide alternatives for those who may want something different.  Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day.

Dining Room

Our dining rooms have a warm and friendly atmosphere to make meal time a pleasant experience.  Room service is also an option for all residents.

A kitchenette is adjacent to each dining room where visitors can enjoy refreshments when desired

Activities

Activities make up the most important part of all our days and at Elder Grange we ensure a variety that reflects the interests and capabilities of all our residents.  All activities are designed to mentally and physically stimulate and to enhance life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth.

Laundry Service

An in house Laundry is available for garments which are suitable for commercial laundering. These are collected on a daily basis and normally returned that day.  Dry cleaning is not available.

Television/Radio

Residents may have their own TV and radio in their bedroom.  Sky TV is available in all lounges.  Wi-Fi internet access is free and available throughout the Home

Telephone calls

All bedrooms have telephones; outside calls are logged and charged accordingly.

Mail

Incoming mail is delivered daily to your room. Outgoing mail may be given to a member of staff for posting.

Newspapers and Magazines

These can be ordered from the social therapists or the office and charged accordingly.

Hairdressing

A hairdressing salon is provided within the Home.

Smoking

We employ a non-smoking policy.
